Definitive Logic is pleased to announce a new Power BI visual published on Microsoft AppSource named “Line and Stacked Column Chart with Table”. Over the past year the team has worked with various clients to migrate their existing PowerPivot/Excel solutions to Power BI. Unfortunately, Power BI lacked a big feature that had been inherent to PowerPivot/Excel for several years – the ability to show a line or bar chart with a table of data. While this could be accomplished with two separate visuals, this did not provide the ability to have the visuals resize together nor provide icons to match table data with the line or bar chart.
Our team decided to build a custom visual to serve our client needs and then provide it free to support the Power BI community. We gave the visual its lengthy name because it was the search term we entered into various search engines when looking to see if this capability already existed (which at the time did not). We hope other Power BI users will find this visual as a solution to their needs.
Since this is our first custom visual, we’d love to hear your review of the AppSource page. In the coming months, we’ll open source the code on GitHub so if you’re interested in making the visual better let us know.
As a Microsoft Gold Partner, Definitive Logic is committed making Power BI work for our customers. If you’re interested in how Power BI can be leveraged in your organization, please contact us at info@definitvielogic.com
