Definitive Logic (DL) is excited to share that one of our customers, the Installations Resource Integration Team (IRIT) in Army Deputy Chief of Staff (DCS) G-9 for Installations, was recently recognized at the annual DoD Financial Management (FM) awards ceremony that highlights the FM Community’s critical contributions to the DoD Mission.
The team award for “Contributions in Budget Formulation or Execution and Headquarters or Major Command Level” was presented by OUSD Comptroller to G-9 for the reform of the worldwide Army Installation Budget Submission!
The IRIT team designed and implemented an automated, repeatable process to prioritize limited resources in the Army budget in order to maximize the quality of readiness of Army Installations worldwide.
This effort included several groundbreaking initiatives, including:
- a new Resource Framework,
- a new Prioritization method,
- a new Auditable and Authoritative data analytics capability,
- and new software.
The IRIT team identified cost savings to the taxpayer by nearly $1 billion over the previous budget!
The program saved the Army over 500 labor hours per year!
The distributed data capture and analysis resulted in accurate data being available to programmers at all levels from the most detailed line items to the highest level roll up. This enabled realignment of over $1.8 billion from lower priority capabilities to higher priority capabilities, thus moving the budget significantly towards senior leader outcomes.
DL is proud to have supported G-9 through this Digital Transformation through PPBE business process re-engineering and implementation of the OneStream XF Corporate Performance Management (CPM) platform in the cArmy cloud. We couldn’t have asked for a better partnership with our customers in G-9 and are thrilled for the continuous modernization that the IRIT team will drive under this new program.
