Power BI Custom Visual Privacy Notice

This document tells you what personal data we may collect from you and how we use it when you download our Power BI custom visuals applications, Line and Stacked Column Chart with Table or Definitive Logic PBI Clustered Column Chart with Custom Labels (the “Product”), using Microsoft’s App Source. We reserve the right to change or update this Privacy Policy at any time.

Definitions

“Non-Personal Data” is information that is in no way personally identifiable.

“Personal Data” means any information relating to an identified or an identifiable natural person who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that natural person.

A “Subscriber” is someone who has downloaded the Product using Microsoft’s App Source.

Information we collect

We collect Personal Data in the following manner: after a Subscriber downloads the Product from Microsoft’s App Source, Microsoft automatically provides us with the name, e-mail address, phone number, job title, company, and country the Subscriber provided Microsoft.

Information we DO NOT collect

We do not collect any Non-Personal Data or Personal Data during a Subscriber’s use of the Product.

How your information is used

We use the information we collect from you to:
• Analyze trends to help improve our products; and
• Contact you with marketing and advertising that we believe may be of interest to you.

Communications and e-mails

When we communicate with you about our company, we will use the e-mail address you provided when you registered with Microsoft’s App Source. We may also send you e-mails with promotional information about our websites or offers from us or our affiliates, unless you have opted out of receiving such information. You can change your contact preferences at any time by sending us an e-mail with your request to: info@definitivelogic.com

Sharing information with third parties

We do not sell or rent your Personal Data to third parties for marketing purposes.

Legally required releases of information

We may be legally required to disclose your Personal Data if such disclosure is required by subpoena, law, or other legal process. Disclosure may also be necessary to assist law enforcement officials or government enforcement agencies, investigate violations of or otherwise enforce our Legal Terms, protect us from legal action or claims from third parties (including you and/or other Subscribers), or protect the legal rights, personal/real property, or personal safety of our company, users, employees, and/or affiliates.

Retaining and destroying your Personal Data

We retain information that we collect from you (including your Personal Data) only for so long as we need it for legal or business purposes. Your information may be retained in electronic form, paper form, or a combination of both. When your information is no longer needed, we will destroy, delete, or erase it.
